SA/VIC BORDER RESTRICTIONS

๐ŸŒŸ ATTENTION TO OUR VICTORIAN CLIENTS ๐ŸŒŸ

There has been much confusion regarding the South Australian border closures and we have had many phone calls from clients concerned that they will not be able to make it over for their appointments.

According to the SA government website https//www.covid-19.sa.gov.au โ€˜Essential Travelersโ€™ who are able to cross the border include the following:- Persons who are ordinarily resident at, or near, a South Australian border and who, in the ordinary course of their occupation, education, or daily life, have reasonable cause to cross that border.- Persons who travel to South Australia for the receipt of urgent medical, dental or other health treatment with the approval of the Chief Executive of the Department of Health and Well being, the South Australian Chief Public Health Officer or a deputy Chief Public Health Officer.

To clarify this as best I can with reference to our community I have been to the Naracoorte Police Station. Here I was told that if you are travelling over from Edenhope or Apsley you will have border exemption which most of you would already have in place by now. If you reside any farther than Edenhope you will likely need to apply to SA Health for exemption.

If you are from a border community and are still concerned about crossing, for your piece of mind, we can email you a letter confirming your appointment for presentation at the checkpoint.

I hope this helps to eliminate some of the confusion surrounding this matter!

Yours in Health,

Crystal ๐ŸŒฟ
